The incumbent will be responsible for:
- All aspects of curriculum development and implementation for grade 10-12 of the Integrated IGCSE curriculum and any other grade 10-12 curriculum the company may choose to adopt;
- Curriculum development and implementation with a particular focus on the integration of STEM in the Integrated Programme;
- Ongoing monitoring of curriculum implementation across the High School Maths & Science department, providing feedback to Senior Management when requested;
- Developing assessment materials and strategies that meet benchmarking standards as set out by the exam management procedures of EMG and other curriculum partners;
- Implementation of quality control procedures and action plans to ensure that lessons delivered by the High School Maths & Science department are in line with the expected level of quality;
- Conducting regular professional development with the High School Maths & Science department on best practices for teaching and learning;
- Encouraging staff to discuss ideas for best practice in teaching and learning and to foster an atmosphere of creativity and development in teaching, learning and assessment;
- Ensuring all teachers have appropriate knowledge of the relevant subject area and that this is regularly updated so that students benefit from the most up to date industry practices;
- Teaching Maths and/or Science for students at the High school level.
